"Did you hear that? Half price! That means we can order twice the amount," Niki says.

"Or we could order the same amount and save a lot of money," you reply.

"I can't wait to eat," Eva mutters.

"This location is different than back home. Does every city vary so much?" Alice asks.

"I guess so, yeah. It depends on where you are. People are different everywhere," Niki explains.

You watch the one waitress that continues to keep everyone's attention. "I wonder who she is. Though she seems to just be a barmaid, she was on stage a bit ago. Is she a performer too?"

One of the staff overhears your conversation. The young woman looks down towards you and replies. "That's Bibi. She's a shining beacon of light in our little village. She only showed up about a week ago, but our business has never been so successful. Everybody comes to see her. Isn't she cute?"

"She is, yeah."

Eva smacks your shoulder. "Kyle!"

"... What was that for?!"

Finally, your food arrives. You knew it was going to happen, but they really did order too much. The food isn't extravagant--mostly meat, stew, vegetables, and bread--but it takes up the whole center of the table. Eva and Niki dive in immediately and start chowing away. Amara takes her share, though Alice only watches. You feel kind of bad. You wonder if she wishes she needed to eat just like the rest of you.

As you fill your plate before the food is gone, you look to her. "Hey, Alice."

She perks up. "Yes?"

"You've been mostly quiet this trip, but you know, you're pretty smart. If you have any ideas of what we should do, please let us know."

"I... I suppose we could ask the village guards if they have seen anything strange around the area. If anything has happened here, surely they would know. And perhaps someone in the village is knowledgeable of magic, and they might be able to help."

"Maff ah gmm md--Hork!" Eva starts ****. She chugs down some of her beverage and breathes a sigh of relief.

"Stop trying to talk while you eat like a little kid," you say.

"I'm not a kid!" she replies. "And I was saying that's a good idea, Alice."

Alice looks down and smiles.

As the meal continues, you look to your side to see the famous Bibi approach your table with a bright smile on her face. She bends over and looks towards you, which hangs her perfect cleavage down right near your face. "Are you enjoying your meals?" she asks.

You stare directly at them--how can you not? They're so round, so big, and are hanging right there as if they're saying hello to you. They're smooth, shimmering, gemstones. As she shifts her weight, they bounce in her skimpy barmaid top. You peel your eyes away just enough to look up to her face, and she doesn't seem bothered at all--still smiling, still happy.

"We are. Thanks!" Niki answers first.

Bibi giggles and stands up straight again. "Just let us know if you need anything~!" And with that, she skips away. You look to the back of her slender legs leading up to the short brown skirt of her outfit.

"Everything here looks so delicious considering how far in the boonies we are," Eva says.

I'll say.

"If you would like, I can speak with somebody while you finish up here," suggests Alice. "Perhaps the guards."

You stand up first. "I'm stuffed. How about I come with you? The rest of you can ask around here, and we'll meet back up outside. It shouldn't take very long."

"Sounds good to me, Kyle." Niki is picking her plate clean. "But don't go missing for as long as last time, when you went to the castle."
