Sibling Support

Cassandra, dazed by the sudden crash, finds herself in a heap of twisted metal. She looks over to the driver's seat and sees that he definitely didn't make it. Pushing her way out of the mess, she frees herself from the wreckage. The police have surrounded the area and are pointing their guns directly at her.

"Get on the ground!" One of the cops shouts, "Face down on the ground, now!" Cassandra knows their bullets will not harm her, but doesn't want to cause any more trouble so she leaps away. The cops look on in awe. She lands on a nearby building and takes a moment to figure out what just happened.

"Did The Voice take control of that man?" She ponders, "It must've done all this to lure me out, but why?" Her thoughts are interrupted by the sound of a helicopter fast approaching. Cassandra looks up and sees the news chopper hovering above. She leaps from building to building, trying to escape the helicopter.

Getting some distance from the chopper, she slips her way into the alley where she parked and quickly dresses back into her civvies. Cassandra gets in her car and makes her way home. She pulls into the driveway and makes her way inside. As she enters the house, she sees her brother watching the news.

"Cass, did you see this? There's some super-powered hot chick running around the city." Kyle points at the screen. Footage of Cassandra leaping buildings is playing, The bottom banner reads: "Mystery Girl: Hero or Menace?" Kyle shakes his head, "There's no way she's bad...I mean she survived a deadly car crash so the cops' bullet probably wouldn't have hurt her and yet she didn't even try to fight them."

Cassandra has trouble keeping herself from smiling, "So you think she's a good guy?" she asks. Kyle nods, "Definitely, I mean she stopped that gunman the other day, Why would a bad guy do that?" Cassandra nods, "I also heard she brought a gunshot victim to the hospital." She leaves out the part where it was partially her fault.

"See?! That's more proof that she's here to help!" Kyle says excitedly. Cassandra smirks, happy that her brother supports her even if he doesn't realize it. She heads to her room and goes on her computer, hoping to find information on The Voice.
