Show her the grave

"Ensign Smith." The command is not loud, but you put as much **** and authority behind it as you can. All navy personnel are conditioned to obey when addressed by rank in that tone and Smith was no exception, she snaps to attention. Her feet together, head held high and the way she pulled back her shoulders press her full breasts tightly against her jump-suit. Not for the first time you wonder what she would do if you slowly unzipped the jump suit from her her throat all the way down to 'V' of her thighs. Pushing the inappropriate thought away you approach the young officer until you are standing less than a meter away.

"Come with me Smith," You deliberately soften your voice, "I'll show you where Lt. Williams is." She sensed the somber note in your voice but followed obediently as you guided her through the air-lock and down to the beach where the mound of Williams' grave is impossible to miss.

"She's dead, Diana." You told her as she froze in shock. "She never had a chance, her spine was shattered with the initial torpedo strike."

"No," Smith shook her head slowly. "No, that's not possible." She whirled around to face you her naturally sweet face distorted in anger and pain. "Lisa was too strong to die like that! She was stronger than me, stronger than you - Lisa was tougher than a Valkyr! She couldn't have died in her combat harness." Through your link it takes less than two seconds to allow temporarily grant full computer access to the junior officer.

"Link in and see for yourself, Ensign." Her eyes go blank for two or three seconds and you can almost see the surprise in her face when she realizes it was you not her lover who had saved the Gorgon and given you at least a chance at survival.
