What do you do?
Shoot out the wires
You decide to shoot the wires providing power to the compound from the solar panels. This turns out to be a lot easier in theory than in practice. There are six buildings in the compound, each providing power to the perimeter systems via a thick cable. Each cable takes one or two shots to sever, and despite liberal use of the laser pointer, you still miss quite a bit. Getting the little red dot to stay on target while you squeeze the trigger seems to be the hardest part--not something that would be a problem if you were shooting at an attacker, maybe, but shooting at a wire is different.
It takes you a couple hours of persistent effort and about half of your ammunition, but eventually the last cable is blasted apart. The lock on the gate clicks and it slowly swings open as the hydraulics fail in the "open" position. You can now just walk right inside.
Into the Compound...

Your Prepper Plans Go Awry When You Wake Up as a Female Clone of Yourself
Your crazy uncle built the ultimate survival compound including a machine that would make a of clone you with all your memories if you died or didn't report in. You MIGHT have messed with the controls to change the clone's gender, just to see what the computer projected your female body would look like, to satisfy your kinky curiousity... But it's not like you'd forget to change it back and actually need the clone, right?...
