Sheer up the defenses

Who knows what creatures are lurking in the forest, just waiting for your fire to go out so they can just stroll over and eat you in your sleep. Armed with your survival knife you begin the process of stripping branches of their twigs and leaves. You end up with a score of sharpened stakes that you are able to dig into the soil on the plateau. With the stakes you have you are able to place them about a meter apart, making a simple and probably ineffective barrier for any intruders.
