She tries the room on the left

Not keen on stripping or slavery, Nicole set off in search of the keys. With no real information to guide her, she arbitrarily decided to start with the room on the left.

Entering from the corridor, she was greeted with an empty room, save for a pedestal on the opposite wall, on which sat a key very similar to the one that had let her out of the last room. Nicole took a tentative step forward, but then paused. She was starting to figure out the game these creeps were playing. No matter what choice she made, they were going to try and humiliate her. She had to try and stay one step ahead if she was going to escape with her dignity. Examining the floor for potential traps, she determined that there either were none, or they were too well concealed. Steeling herself, she approached the pedestal and.......

Nothing happened.

Breathing a sigh of relief and thanking whatever deity of purity did not want to see her debased at this particular moment, she reached out for the key before something made her stop a second time.

Some ex somewhere at some time had made her sit down for an Indiana Jones marathon. She'd seen a pedestal like this before. Her guess was that the key, when removed, would trigger her next humiliation. Thinking back to the movie, Indy had traded his treasure for an object of equal weight. The key from the previous room looked similar to this one, so she had a feel for the weight, she could replace it relatively easy if she wanted to.

The problem was, there was no bag of sand for her to work with. All she had were the clothes on her back. Thinking pragmatically, either her blouse or her skirt would be heavy enough, but she was hoping to avoid showing skin.

Alternatively, she could roll the dice on the mechanism, if there even was one, but her experience with the paddle told her that would carry its own cost.
