She recounts her embarrassing previous day, with some fresh embarrassment to boot

The group of five walked along their chosen trail, enjoying another warm summer day. As they traveled, it seemed all four of Mackenzie's new friends were quite interested to hear about how on earth she'd ended up so ridiculously underdressed the day prior. Too embarrassed to tell them what happened, Mackenzie continued to decline. But each and every time it only made the group more and more curious. Finally, nearly an hour and a half into their hike, Mackenzie relented.

With a shy sigh, she described how her hike the day before had gone from lovely to disastrous with one ill-fated seating attempt. How she'd suddenly found herself tumbling out of control down a steep hill, plants and brush tearing at her clothes. And how when she finally found herself at the bottom of the slope, she was wearing nothing more than a few scraps of fabric.

"And after stumbling around in the woods for a while," Mackenzie said, "I came across your campsite. I was trying to find my own, but that didn't exactly work. And I figured, rather than wind up even more lost in the woods with the sun setting," she took a slow deep breath, "that I'd approach you guys and ask for your help instead. And that's when I walked into your campsite and, well, you all saw what happened from there..." Mackenzie couldn't help but blush as she remembered how her scant few remaining clothes were all ripped to shreds in a matter of minutes, all while these four strangers had watched.

"Wow..." Ben said after a few moments of impressed silence from the group.

"Yeah, 'WOW' is right," Nicole muttered softly, voice laden with sarcasm. Audrey shot her friend a stern look, but luckily Mackenzie hadn't heard the brunette's comment.

"That must have been so embarrassing!" Mike said as he and Ben began peppering Mackenzie with a few follow-up questions, much to her further embarrassment. Audrey, meanwhile, covertly grabbed Nicole's sleeve and slowed her pace until they were both out of earshot of the others.

"Nicole," she said warningly, "Mackenzie just went through what was probably the most embarrassing day of her life yesterday. Could you at least TRY to be a little nicer to her?"

"Oh come on Audrey," Nicole complained, "do you really expect us to believe falling through a few bushes just ripped all her clothes off?"

"A bit improbable, I'll grant you" the auburn haired woman said, "but yeah! I do believe her!"

"Then you're stunningly naive," Nicole retorted. "Clearly she ripped her clothes herself just to get off on getting ogled by the boys. That girl," she said, pointing at Mackenzie's back, "is 100% an exhibitionist." That made Audrey giggle slightly, much to Nicole's further annoyance. "I'm serious!" she said, trying not to be loud enough for Mackenzie to hear.

"If you say so," Audrey replied with a smile. "But I like to think I'm a pretty good judge of people's emotions, and that girl we met last night was embarrassed beyond all reason. I think it's more likely she's just a bit of a klutz."

A sudden yelp from in front of them grabbed the attention of both the girls. They both turned to see Mackenzie falling into a bush on the side of the trail, apparently having tripped on a large tree root in the path. Ben and Mike both quickly moved to help the redhead, and were soon successfully extricating her from the thick bush. Although, as they did so, a dreadful ripping sound echoed through the woods. Mackenzie was pulled back onto the trail, standing on her own two feet again, but her hiking shorts were completely gone. She gasped and quickly moved her hands in an attempt to cover her bright yellow panties. Audrey and Nicole both gave each other pointed looks, each thinking the episode had proven themselves right and the other girl wrong.

"Oh, jeez," Ben mumbled, as he quickly opened his backpack. With a small blush of his own, he pulled out a beach towel and handed it to Mackenzie. "Here, use this!"

"Th-thanks," a blushing Mackenzie managed to say before wrapping the light blue fabric around her hips and tentatively securing it in place. She thought to check her own bag for any spare clothes, but was dismayed to find it completely empty. She'd planned on returning the borrowed clothes to Audrey and then heading back to her own campsite, so she hadn't packed anything extra that morning. "I might, uh, need to borrow this the rest of the day I think..."

"Forgot a towel, huh?" Mike asked with a small chuckle. "Well that's fine, air-drying in the sun's not so bad."

"Drying?" Mackenzie asked, confused.

"Oh shoot!" Audrey said, catching up with Mackenzie and the boys. "I forgot to mention, Mackenzie, but we were planning on stopping for a dip at this place in the river we usually enjoy! I don't suppose you brought a swimsuit or anything?"

"I... didn't bring anything actually," Mackenzie self-consciously admitted. "I kind of wasn't planning on hiking, let alone swimming anywhere."

"Ugh, that's my fault for not warning you. I'm so sorry, it slipped my mind!" Audrey said.

"Hey no worries! We've already seen everything, so Mackenzie can just go skinny dipping!" Mike joked, causing the redhead's blush to redouble.

"Mike..." Nicole said with an icy tone.

"I'm joking, I'm joking!" he said. Then, after a moment of silence, he added, "Swimming in her underwear's a perfectly valid option." This got a round of laughter out of everyone, much to Mackenzie's humiliation.

"I'll just, um, hang out on the shore maybe," Mackenzie said nervously.

"Don't worry, Mackenzie," Audrey said as the group walked on, "we can hang out on dry land together."

Mackenzie felt relieved by that assurance. But at the same time, she felt a little bad. She didn't want to cause Audrey to lose out on quality time with her friends and boyfriend. Swimming nude was certainly out of the question, even if all four of them had seen her naked body already! But maybe, just maybe, Mackenzie could bring herself to give swimming in her underwear a try?
