She makes it to the house

Megan checked the flier again, and was glad she did: it turned out that the house was on Greek Row, not Greeke Rd as she originally thought. That would have led her directly into the part of town her father had warned her so strongly about. While she wanted to live her own life, something about the way he had talked about it sent a little shiver down her spine. Going to the party, actually making it to the party, would be much more fun and more safe.

Though it was already dark by the time she left, the sidewalks were brightly lit by streetlights and emergency light posts every so often. It comforted her even more to see an emergency phone near the dorm: knowing that the campus had her security at heart made her feel safe, happy. She didn't notice that as she left the dorms and went down the street, however, that such phones were a rarity and that, as she got closer to Greek Row, they vanished entirely.

Finally, she took the last corner and saw the imposing houses that made up Greek Row. Music boomed from most of them; Megan wasn't even sure what was coming from which house. She could see people going in and out, milling around, some even standing - or stumbling - through the streets. Hopefully they would be okay. A group of people, three or four, all wearing Greek letters prominently on their shirts, brushed past her as she squinted, trying to figure out where the party was that she was invited to.

...there it was! Megan neatly folded the flier she had and put it in her purse and went in, tagging along with the group that had just bumped into her. The house looked almost exactly like it did in the picture - a little less well-kept, maybe, but the thrill of actually going to a college party was starting to take over. She walked through the door and into the house for the first time.
