She is dismissive.

“Pfft.” Monika rolls her eyes. “You couldn't even best me in arm wrestling, let alone anything more aerobic.”

“Is that a challenge, Red?” Nevin takes off his glasses.

“What if it is?” Monika doubles down and leans over the businessman's desk, staring him in the eyes.

“Fine.” The businessman stands and picks up a spare chair and places next to the bounty-hunter. “One match, if you win I'll pay you 5,000 for finding the artifact, that's 1,000 more than I planned, and I will give you another 500 upfront for spending money, plus a round trip pass to Ranth.”

“And if you win?”

“Then you do the job for $3,000, nothing upfront, though you can still have the sailing ship pass, however, I will need you to seal our contract by preforming an act of compliance, showing your good faith.”

“Which is?” Monika has no doubt where this is going.
