She investigates further

From Rocketgirl’s vantage point, she saw Markus hold up his briefcase and then Michael nodded in response and gestured for the three to move inside the abandoned building. Michael walked in first, followed by Markus, and finally Ruth. The heroine waited a few moments before making a dash towards the building. When Rocketgirl reached the building she pressed herself flat against the wall next to the door and waited for a moment, there was no response from the inside. The heroine slid along the wall towards the door and then peered around the corner. Inside the building appeared to be a large room with rotting and broken crates stacked in columns, somewhere in the room she could see a light.

Quietly Rocketgirl slipped into the building and made her way between the columns of old crates. Cautiously, she made her way towards the light, pausing between stacks to see if anyone was lurking down the rows. As she moved closer to the light, Rocketgirl could hear voices and they became louder as the heroine got closer to the light as she could hear the words being spoken. The heroine heard a m an’s voice speaking, he was saying that there were several parties interested in buying the **** but that they would like a sample first before ordering larger quantities.

As she neared an opening where the light was Rocketgirl could see the back of Ruth. The woman had a large hulking form and could easily be a football linebacker. Rocketgirl did not want to get crushed within her grip. On the other side of Ruth was a table with a small lamp. On one side stood Markus with his briefcase on the table, on the other side stood Michael with a briefcase on the floor next to him. As Rocketgirl watched, Markus spoke.

“I have some samples here that I am willing to provide for a downpayment. If these parties are satisfied, then more can be made at the quoted price.”

Michael picked up his briefcase and put it on the table. The sound of the latches being unlocked could be heard as the briefcase opened. Michael then spun it around so that Markus could see the money inside. “Those terms are acceptable to those parties.” Michael then pushed the briefcase full of money towards Markus. Markus responded by pushing the other closed briefcase to Michael. Michael opened it and looked inside. Satisfied with what he saw he closed it. “Lets have a drink to a potential business deal.” Michael said. He then walked away from the table leaving the briefcase there towards a crate opposite Rocketgirl’s position. Markus followed Michael as did Ruth.

Rocketgirl watched and saw that on the crate were several glasses and a bottle of alchohol. She saw Michael pick up the bottle and start pouring some into each of the glasses. He then handed a glass to Markus before taking one himself. Michael then lifted it up in a toast.

Rocketgirl looked at where they were standing and then back at the table. The heroine thought she could run in quickly, grab the briefcase with the samples in it and get away using her super speed. The only one close that could possibly stop her was Ruth, but if the gargantuan woman was a little slow, she probably wouldn’t start to react until Rocketgirl was out the door.
