She’s spotted by someone

Druuna walked out to the centre of the square, enjoying the feel of the sun shining down upon it, the tall buildings not able of blocking it out.
She looked around at all of the junk and rubble, but was unable to spot anything which looked interesting.
Disappointed but not too surprised, Druuna moved on to one of the nearby houses, looking through the bottom-floor.
There, in a battered desk, she found an interesting book, and carried it outside to read it in the light provided by the sun.
So, she placed herself on a large marble pillar which had collapsed onto the square, and began reading.
She could comprehend quite a lot of the text in the book, and it was a strange tale about some young, spectacled boy who apparently had magical powers, and who was taken to a strange school for children like him, far away from his cruel foster-family.
Tossing the book to the ground, Druuna got up and prepared to continue her search, when suddenly a voice cried out:
“Halt!”
Spinning round, Druuna saw two men standing on the road leading south, one of them aiming a rifle at her.
Both of them wore green uniform pants and white t-shirts under leather-jackets, with holster hanging from their waists.
Druuna jumped over the pillar and started to run, trying to escape the two men.
“Stop!” She heard the men scream, as the one with the rifle aimed it after her.
