Seek out Bax

Petra’s offer is tempting, but you decide to take a more active role in the ambush. You noted that Bax walked off into the trees earlier, maybe he’s scouting? You decide to inquire with Krest. Krest sits upon a stump at the edge of camp. He notices you as your approach from behind.

“Hail dwarf, you look lost. Looking for something to do?”

“Somethin’ like that. Any clue where Bax’ crept off to?”

“Hm, Baxter? He travelled a ways down the path to act as a forward scout. Why he steal something from you?” He looks at you seemingly amused with himself.

“Ah na, just curious is all. Figured I might’ve be of use to him.”

“I see, if you’re looking for him he’s just down there.” He says gesturing southward.

You nod in thanks and begin your expedition passing through the tree line.

You journey through the brush trying to avoid making too much noise. You reach a small clearing with a large oak tree in the center. As you gaze up at it you feel something dull press into your lower back as your flight or fight instincts immediately kick in.
