See who is at the door.

I decided to at least see who it was. I looked through the peep hole as my bovine landlady looked on with docile brown eyes. I grinned at what I saw. It was LeAnn Nguyen, the half-Vietnamese college student with the long glossy black hair who lived in the building. She was pouting petulantly. She knocked again.

"What shall we turn LeAnn into, Bossy?" I asked my landlady. "Surely not a cow like you. Hmmm. Oh, I know!"

I reset my invention to another pre-programmed transformation as Mrs. MacArthur mooed in soft confusion. Then I opened the door.

The young woman was startled to see me, but not nearly as startled as she was when she looked past me and saw the creature our landlady had become.

"What are you...oh my god!" she said.

"Mrs. MacArthur can't help you right now," I told her as she stared in horror. "She seems to have come down with a bad case of the cow. But I'm sure I could help you out LeAnn."

I activated my device and bathed her in purple light from my ring.

"What...what are you doing?" she asked with rising panic, shuddering as her body began to transform. "No! No, stop! You can't do this! I don't want to be a cow!"

"Don't be silly, LeAnn!" I told her. "I'm not turning you into a cow! I'm turning you into a..."
