Search every side of the roof

You decide that the only way is to look for another way off the roof, before you can decide to call one of your friends to open the window in the office. So you stroll in the dark, trying to find some kind of ladder, or table near enough to the roof to jump on and hope for the best. Then, you suddenly realize you've been very stupid. There is a tree, a few meters distanced from the roof, but the branches run all the way on top of the roof. You can easily access it from there, and climb into the tree, then smoothly down, granting one of the branches doesn't break.

When you make your way over to the east side of the building, you can see that you have remembered correctly. There's a few large branches hanging over the roof of the building, probably strong enough to hold you. Now, you have never climbed a tree before in your life, and get very nervous when you look down towards the ground, and what the fall would mean.

Since there is no other way, except embarrassment, you take a deep breath, make sure the camera is tightly secured, and grab the branches. As carefully, and focused as possible, you slide along it, legs hanging from each side. Luckily there are more than enough branches to grab on to, so you don't slide around and fall on your head, but you're terrified of it nonetheless.

After a nerve-wrecking little climb, you finally reach the tree-trunk itself. When you're about to climb down into the garden, you here a voice. Two voices actually. The first one is that of a male, a little older than you are, the second is of a girl, giggling after the first one had said something. The voices get closer, and you sit still as a statue, scared shit-less because you don't want anyone to know what you're doing here.

Then the two people the voices belonged to come around the corner so you can see them. You almost fall out of the tree because of the shock, and a twig accidentally snaps. Sarah and her male companion look around to see who has made this noise, but you are carefully hidden behind the leaves. Your crush is here, with some guy from inside the bar! It doesn't take a genius to figure out what happens next.

As Sarah and the man shrug, crediting the sound to the wind, you ponder on what to do. Will you try and sneak out of the tree, or stay put and watch what's going to happen, however much you don't want to?
