Say "I love you" when she hugs him

"From now on, every time she hugs you, tell her that you love her."

"Oh, I don't know about that..." he said, nervous.

"I know, it's hard for you to be honest about your feelings, but if you want to stay together with her, you have to." Wendy said, knowing that he'd accept if she reminded him that she was considering leaving him.

"...Okay." he said. He was determined to do what it took to save his relationship, and he could always tell her that Dr. Vierre had told him to. Seeing as this was her idea, she could hardly blame him for that.

"Now say, 'I love you, Charlotte.'"

"What!? I can't say something like that in front of you!"

"Jack, if you can't say it to your therapist, you won't be able to say it to your girlfriend." She could tell that for all his bluster and confidence, he was a coward at heart, and knew that if she didn't push him farther, he'd chicken out when the time came.

"Okay, I'll do it, just give me a second." He focused, and she found it funny how hard he had to concentrate to be able to say a few simple words. "I love you, Charlotte."

He had done it, but it had taken him a while, and chances were the hug would be done by the time he worked up the nerve.
