Save The Woman.

The three men are all marveling at the beauty they've captured and pay no mind to your approach. With practiced strides you move swiftly, silently, and low to the ground. The attacking man has freed his cock and starts mounting the girl whose gone silent with terror. Seeing no other choice, you pick up a hunk of metal from a nearby pile of detritus, plentiful this close to the wastes, and throw it at him. The chunk hits him squarely between the shoulder blades and he doubles over before turning on you.

He licks his lips and says, "Looks like we won't all have to share! D, keep the other one down!"

One of the men forces the girl to her feet, dress still rumpled and showing off most of her body, and forces an arm painfully behind her back. She winces as she watches you approaching fast to meet the charge of the other two men. As you suspected, they're clumsy fighters. The first one throws his arm back to wind up his punch, telegraphing the move from a mile away. You duck the strike and swiftly punch him in the throat, sending him **** and sprawling to the ground. The other one grabs a long length of metal from a pile and readies to swing it like a sword. You grab it mid swing and pull him off balance before kicking him square in the chest. You think you may have fractured his sternum as he falls back with a wheeze and a thud. The final man watches you running towards him and abandons his friends and quarry, throwing the girl into your path to slow you down. Your objective complete, you ignore the man and grab the girl, pulling her towards town.

"Come on," you tell her. "It's safer this way."

She looks up at you with wide eyes and nods. As you pass the thugs lying on the ground she stops to give them each a swift kick. You smile.

"Thank you so much!" she sighs once your back in the city proper. "I didn't think anyone would come!"

You shrug, "I'm new in town and in need of friends."

She gasps and clutches at her chest, her eyes darting to the bulge in your jumpsuit, "Is that a euphemism? Are you taking me back to your lair to ravish me like those men?!"

You scrunch up your face, "What?! No!"

"Oh..." She sounds almost disappointed. "Well, I'm Reinna. Reinna Ratchet. What's your name?"

"Aurora."

She smiles, "That's a very pretty name. So, what brings you to the Terminal?"

You consider your words carefully and say, "Right now I'm trying to get my stuff back. I have a ship but it's out in the wastes. It's too dangerous for me to go out like I am now."

"Absolutely! When I go out scrapping for my father I always bring something to defend myself with! Although, that didn't exactly work out this time, obviously..."

"What happened to your weapon?"

She rubs her arm and looks at her feet, "Eaten by a howler."

You wanna laugh she's so damned cute.

"Howlers are nasty buggers," you assure her. "No shame in getting away in one piece."

She gives you a warm smile and says, "You're very kind. Oh! You should come and speak to father! He's a machinist so he could probably help you."

You raise your eyebrows at that. Machinists, real machinists, are experts with all sorts of technology. Finding one out in the sticks is like spotting a fly from orbit.

She sees the disbelief on your face and adds, "He really is! He used to be really important back when the corporations still cared about this place."

That makes slightly more sense. Still, you'd need to see his work before you'd fully believe her.

"It's getting late," you note. "I've gotta find somewhere to crash."

"Crash at our place!" she insists.

She takes you by the hand and leads you quickly through the streets.
