Saturday morning

Josh moans as his head reminds him that he drank too much last night. As soon as he had gotten the message from his wife telling him that she wasn’t going to be home when he got home, he knew that he had screwed up big time. He had a small hope that she was just teaching him a lesson, but that vanished when he walked into an empty apartment.

He rolls over and sees his wife sleeping next to him. She looks happy for some reason. He almost leans over to kiss her, but he barely remembers that it was 3 AM when he passed out. He slips out of bed and sees the key to his cage. He runs a finger along it, but leaves it where it lay and gets into the shower.

He leaves her a note reminding her that he had plans to meet some clients for golf and that he needed to spend some time in the gym. He would be home tonight and he will try to make up for cancelling their date.
