"Sammie!" Jack's heart leapt into his throat, almost **** his words. "Sammie do you have any idea what time it is? Where the hell are you baby?"

"Dad I'm *hic* oh-kay. But, I'm scared." Her words came a bit slowly, and Jack quickly realized that his little girl was tipsy. What idiocy! This was not the day for childhood rebellion. "I'm hiding behind a tree, Dad, a block down from Marcie's house.

Marcie Jack spat the name internally. When he got his hands on her - but there was no time for that.

"Samanatha? Don't worry, sweety. Don't worry, just listen to me carefully: you stay right there, Daddy is coming. You stay right there and you hide, and you tell anyone that spots you that you don't need anything and if they come for you, you tell them that I will give them 50,000 dollars to leave you alone and then... you put them on the phone with me, okay Sammie? You get them on the phone no matter what, I'll take care of it. Understand? Don't trust anyone, not anyone but me, I don't care if you think you know them. I'm going to stay on the line, but cover up the light on your phone until you see my car. I'm coming Samantha."
