Raised by a tight-knit Neko family, Sakura hardly wandered outside of the Cathay Valleys, deep in the heart of the Dragon Continent. The teachings of her mother in harnessing the Oriental form of magic, chi, was passed down to her. Although Sakura was known to use a few attack and summoning spells, she put a deep emphasis on healing.

It was during one of her group journeys outside the valley to trade goods with one of the shogun domains that she was kidnapped by a sect of Saracens that had been challenging the native humans and draconians that lived there. For weeks, she was transported through the Great Sumerian Desert, before she was freed by the Briarwolves Guild. Thankful for their release, but realizing just how far she was from her home, Sakura felt alone. Eventually, she joined the guild, filling in that much-needed healer role.
