S01E01: Holly Willoughby, TV Presenter

When Amy and Susan contacted Channel 4 to explain their idea, they could see that they were very enthusiastic in co-producing the show. The original Embarrassing Bodies was a big success, and nobody at the network doubts that the celebrity edition will be one of their most popular programs. In addition to that, the fame and recognition that Wilson and Bradford have gained over the past years will be the perfect way to attract attention.

Nobody mentioned it in the show's pitch meeting, but they know that Amy Wilson and Susan Bradford are the best possible doctors to take charge of a project like this one. The original female presenters, doctors Dawn Harper and Pixie Mckenna, were attractive women, and Channel 4's executives know that this was a key factor in the show's success. Amy and Susan are young, attractive, and a very well known lesbian couple. What's not to like?

Before the pilot is recorded, Channel 4 has already greenlit the project and even negotiated an agreement with the Japanese streaming service JIYUU, that will be in charge of the show's distribution outside the United Kingdom. However, Amy and Susan know that this first program will be carefully studied by the channel's executives. They must start with somebody big enough to attract attention, but not so much that she will eclipse future guests.

Choosing the show's first celebrity was a no-brainer for Amy and Susan. They have been collaborating with the program "This Morning" for a couple of years and are good friends with the show's presenter, Holly Willoughby. She's pretty, she's famous in the UK, and they know she's not the shy type.

When the day arrives, Amy and Susan do their best to hide their excitement.

-Are you ready, baby? -Susan asks her wife.

-I am! This is gonna be fun!

A few moments later, they see their friend Holly Willoughby exit the dressing room wearing only a paper gown, her bare feet timidly stepping on the tile floor.

-I can't believe you convinced me of doing this, girls -she says with a shy smile.

-Oh, come on Holly, you've never been shy.

-So on top of making me appear naked on TV, you call me a slut? You're such good friends -replies Holly, laughing-. But seriously, this is the most embarrassing thing I've ever done.

-It will be alright -says Amy-. Once again, thank you very much for accepting. And say thanks to your hubby for not opposing it!

-Oh, Daniel was very enthusiastic about it. It was him who convinced me to do it.

-See? There's nothing to fear. You're among friends.

After a couple of minutes of chitchatting, the two doctors head for the clinic's conference room, where the show will be recorded.
