Personality: Ryu's personality is just what you expect from the typical "face" wrestler: adventurous, brave, generous...and naive sometimes. Story: Since when he can remember, Ryu always loved to learn different fighting styles, wishing to protect his family and the weak in general. In spite of his slim build, such determination brought him to grow up into a very promising fighter during high school... until that day, when he was disastrously defeated in the national high schools finals... by a girl! To his shock, the sexy-looking opponent used her female charms to put him off his game and gain an easy victory using a style that Ryu could barely consider "fighting". Not surprisingly, none of the nose-bleeding judges of the tournement thought that the girl deserved to be disqualified though.

And so, Ryu's old sensei insisted that he needed to get over his weakness and nervousness around female opponents, and especially the most seductive ones. So he signed Ryu into the UFA, regardless of the boy's will.

To the present day, Ryu has no idea of why he cannot just stick to male vs male fighting instead.... but he strongly suspects that his sensei is actually just an old pervert, taking the excuse of this "special tranining" to get the chance to watch a lot of kinky wrestling. Is UFA going to be the best place for Ryu to improve? Or the worst?

Fun facts:

• Ryuke's wrestling name "Ryu", which means "dragon" in Japanese, would eventally remain attached to him in everyday life, becoming more of an "easy going name" than a ring name.

• Ryu's crimson hair are natural which is a rare if not unique trait in a Japanese guy. Those hair dragged him into several brawls since in his primary school years, most of the times due to his hair color making him mistaken for the member of some gang, or simply because of random guys calling him a liar for saying that his hair were natural. Rumors that he could be part of a gang, or even a young Yakuza affiliate quite ruined his social life especially with girls: some avoided Ryu because they thought he was a bad boy... and some others were attracted just because they thought he was a bad boy. Either case made it difficult for Ryu to experience normal school romance dynamics.
