Run away

As the horror of his situation flooded over him, Duncan finally started thinking with his brain, instead of his penis. Remembering what he could about black widows, he knew that the only thing keeping him alive at this moment was the fact that he had yet to complete the act of inseminating Madam Banntrach.

Thinking quickly, he pointed toward one of the windows and exclaimed, "I think one of the wolves is getting in here!"

"What?" asks Banntrach, momentarily releasing her hold on Duncan so she can respond to the threat. She rushes toward the window to confront this danger. The moment she turns her back on him, Duncan lunges toward the door and hurls himself into the darkness, without even bothering to grab any of his clothes.

"Wait!" calls Madam Banntrach, but Duncan doesn't even bother to look over his shoulder. He runs with all of his strength away from the house and the barn, leaping over branches and rocks as he makes his way into the surrounding forest. After running for what seemed to be forever -- but was probably only about ten minutes, he stops and rests his hands on his knees, gasping for air, as he listens for any hint of a pursuer.

As he listens intently, he assesses his situation. Although he much would have preferred to have clothing on as he ran through the wooded terrain, he realizes it would have been foolish to waste a second in getting out of there. As it is, he's not anywhere close to being out of the woods -- no pun intended.

He runs his hand over the scratches and scrapes on his legs, chest, and arms that were caused by his hasty movement through the forest. He takes a little extra time to examine his crotch for damage. Thankfully, everything there seems to have escaped injury, and the exhausting run for his life even managed to subdue his erection.

The sound of a branch snapping somewhere close caused him to stand up straight, muscles tense. Someone -- or something -- was nearby. Was it Madam Banntrach? Could the wolves still be tracking him? Was it some other threat?

He listened carefully and heard no further sound.
