Drawing his side arm, Zack crept up the metal stairway, alert for danger. Cautiously traversing three flights of stairs, Zack was nearing the top, when he came near an open window on this floor.

It wasn?t the torn up apartment inside, nor the partially ajar front door that caught his attention however. It was the sounds of water falling. The sounds of a shower running in a bathroom around the corner.

It was possible that it had been left on for weeks, it was possible that someone was in it. What didn?t seem likely was that a zombie was washing it self. Did that mean a survivor might have been a few flights away this whole time?
