Chapter 20 by NeedAMedic NeedAMedic

How do the Bravos decide to go about gaining back their freedom?

Robin convinces the group to try to make a deal with the Lizardfolk

"They seem like they're not that bad, really!" Robin insisted as they walked out from the temple.

They found themselves on a busy street, surrounded by Lizardfolk from all walks of life going about their business. Most just seemed to be going from place to place carrying groceries or visiting the temple they had just emerged from. For the most part, they seemed to ignore the Bravos, but Liv and Fuu noticed a few eyes watching as they moved. Liv flushed and did her best to cover her naked body, but Fuu just kept on walking with the other two.

"Not that bad?" Liv rolled her eyes as she caught up with Robin. "What the hell is 'not so bad' about an entire damn city of kidnappers and rapists!?"

"Well, they can talk to us, for one, and they think that that's what they're supposed to do! Remember what Coatlique said about their Goddess?" Robin said, still leading the way toward what looked to be the most ornately carved stone structure in the entire city, even outshining the grand temple.

"Okay, so their religious nut-heads and rapists, then!" Liv said, clearly exasperated.

"All I really mean is that they're definitely reasonable enough for us to be able to go and talk to them" Robin cheerfully responded. "And that's why we're going to the big building where their leader is! ...probably"

Before Liv could complain again, Fuu spoke up. "I believe in what Robin has to say. They know we're powerful-- that's why we have these collars. If we can trade a simple favor for our freedom, then we might even come out of this with some new allies."

Liv didn't seem too happy about it, and she looked to Emmaline for support, knowing that she wasn't going to be enough to convince them on her own. When Emmaline pretended not to notice her look and instead busied herself ooh-ing and ahh-ing over the decently pretty (but not overly beautiful) fabric in one of the nearby merchant stalls, Liv knew she would just have to go along with it.

Are the Bravos able to convince the Lizardfolk leader to make a deal with them?
