Your cab driver spoke broken English but seemed like a good man. Definitely knew the island well too. You tipped him extra when you arrived to the Moreland brought your bag into the reception area. You wanted to get checked in and in a bed as soon as possible.

The woman at the desk looked just as tired as you felt. Her sun tanned face was beginning to develop bags beneath her eyes, and her soft looking black hair was showing the effects of the humid air after so many hours.

“Hello Ma’am, what can I do for you?” She asked you, proving your suspicions with her exhausted tone.

“Yeah, I’d like to check into my room. I’m Jack, and I booked online yesterday,” you replied, ignoring her slip up.

“Of course. You will be staying in room 12, down the hall to the left.”

Finally. It’s been a tiring day. Time to get some rest.
