Ring the Doorbell

Beth sneers. “I’m sick of this shit. I want him now.”

She marches up to the door and rings the doorbell.

A five foot seven woman with red hair and tight body answers the door. Beth realizes it must be Dale’s mother. She doesn’t look a day over forty.

Beth wonders if the carpet matches the drapes. Of course if she’s shaved she’ll never know. She ponders how much fun it would be to find out.

The woman clears her throat.

Beth locks eyes with her. “Hi Mrs. Carvis, I’m Beth. Dale invited us over.”

“You’re that pastor’s daughter?” She asks puzzled.

Beth’s gaze bores into her. She licks her lips. She just needs a plausible explanation for her outfit. “Oh, we were on our way to a costume party to benefit the church.”

The lie makes her wet.

“Oh, ok, come in. Dale is downstairs with David.”

Sara Jean and Becky grin at Beth.

The girls cross the threshold giggling.

Becky stops. “You guys go downstairs, I’ll catch up.”

Sara Jean and Beth descend the staircase. With keen hearing they hear Becky. “Mrs. Carvis where do you workout? You look amazing. Your abs are so tight. Can I touch them?”

Beth giggles.

Sara Jean opens the basement door and Becky follows.
