Retreat into the building

Samantha sighed lifting her self up. It hurt to breathe, hell it just plain hurt. She needed to do something about this before she ventured out into the ruined city. But first she needed her gun.

Heading down the fire escape, she looked around and found her pistol. It was a good solid pistol, so it held up to the impact just fine. She was pretty sure she fired three times, which meant she had twelve rounds left. Just in case she popped the clip, and counted. Sure enough, eleven in the clip, one in the chamber.

Grimacing in pain, she went back through the side door. She was pretty sure this building had a clinic somewhere on the ground floor, though it was usually locked at night. On the other hand the kitchen would also have plenty of ****, and likely wouldn’t be protected.
