Chapter 12

Rest of the day
After the realisation that this was now reality {FIRST_NAME} followed the instructions and went with everyone else to a lecture hall: some of which were looking across at each other nervously, some with a definite skip in their step and alteration to their attitude and some acting like nothing remotely different had happened.
The lecture was relatively unexciting: basically they had to keep quiet. Any talk of what happened in their "sessions" when outside of them would result in immediate expulsion from the program and probable suspension. It transpired that almost everyone had already either been told or read this warning whilst 'in session' so were careful not to break the new rules. Two people from his year however found themselves with official warnings for talking to each other about what happened, luckily the two boys didn't mention names else they could've have been permanently excluded. The realisation of that started to worry many who had only just realised what the program truly entailed.
The remainder of the day was simply school as usual but for a few extra grins and sniggers at certain times. {FIRST_NAME} didn't know how to react to questions about it from home only to find he didn't have any. None of detail that is- the parents had all been sent letters to try and not be any more inquisitive than "Nice day?" or "Is the new program distracting you from lessons?!" asked in a far sterner way than {FIRST_NAME} either liked or could realistically answer after his one, borderline adequate session so far.
The next day took a few moments to reach him as he started to get ready before he remembered what was yet to come for him over the course of the day- that same pun was made inside his head and he was most definitely too proud of it. He got on the bus as normal to be met by an obvious sense of nervous excitement from his fellow older students which appeared to go completely unnoticed by the now pre occupied younger students.
That day?
