In this world, gender norms are more strict than in our world, but not hugely so, and while many gendered attitudes and traditional roles are reversed many things like physical appearance and clothing styles are essentially the same. Women wear makeup and dresses but standards are lower and it’s not considered terribly important for most women. Conversely, men spend a lot more time and effort on their appearance, just in ways that heighten what our world would consider male fashion to increase female attention... wanted and otherwise.
Women - while typically smaller then men - are almost always stronger, faster, and more physically imposing, than all but the most buff and trained guys.
Cast:
Aiden Hughson - 20 years old, just moved to the big city from a small, conservative town. He is cute but hides it with shaggy hair and baggy clothes, and is often painfully shy.
Erin Carr - 25 years old, junior accountant. Erin has found it tough to meet men - she is attractive enough, but is slightly awkward. Tells herself she's too busy with work to bother with silly boys. Fresh off a bad breakup.
Derrick Roy - 26 year old, office admin clerk and receptionist. His wife is about to give birth, so as is common Derrick will be taking paternity leave. Everyone assumes he'll become a full time househubby and not return to work like in most families.
Kathleen Hawkins - in her 50's, the manager and head of the firm. Distant but decent boss. Bottom line sort.
Sam Johnson - a 29 year old former athlete and serial player with a long history of breaking boy’s hearts. Hot and vain, she is an amoral bully who likes 'em fresh but her coworkers shrug off her shady-ass extracurricular behavior as her own business.
Chelsea Webb - mid 40's, rather crude towards men in general and timid office boys in particular. Dark hair, glasses.
Gillian Chan - 30's, gruff but kind. A lesbian who finds stereotypical boy culture cute/fun in ironic way.
Ashley Friedwoman - late 40's, army veteran who saw combat in the War. Very traditional. Stern.
Valeria Martinez - early 30's, an immigrant from Colombia. Indifferent to her coworkers.
Mill District Accounting - A Division of GTM (GlobalTax Management)
Located in old Mill District, near downtown. Close to the river, it is a slightly shabby area of mid-size businesses and surface parking lots. Mill Accounting is located in a three story building with along with an architecture firm, a digital media outfit, and a temp agency.
