Resist the Urge, Talk with Dani

You chicken out at the last second. What if somebody were to catch you? Dani lets out a little sigh as your hands return to cradling her, and you can’t tell whether it’s out of frustration or relief.

“What were you thinking of just now?” she asks you softly.

“Anybody could be watching us,” you reply. “Maybe we should be a little more careful.”

“Hmm… maybe,” Dani says, though she doesn’t sound very convinced.

“Hey, at least I think Matt got the message,” you say.

“Yeah, that’s right,” Dani says, brightening up a bit.

You take another bite of your taco, when you notice that the new customer, the red-headed girl taking a seat in the booth that Matt was in, is Elsie!
