Reppi struck again.

The same asura that caused him distress the day prior was there to greet him on the other side. His heart skipped a beat as he instinctively brought a hand to his bag so that his technology wouldn't be so easily swiped a second time. She saw this and laughed.

"What are you doing here?" asked Vibit.

"Waiting to pay for my delivery. Well, mine and my friend's."

"This is for you?"

"It's a gift for Rosie who lives here. Come on inside, you wingnut. Don't look so scared." She gestured him in.

Still cautious, he entered the abode. In the main room, he saw that it was a lovely home despite its size. Still, it made more sense knowing it was Reppi was the one handing over the coin for it. For her friend, she said. He was curious who this was.

He didn't need to wait a moment longer. Coming into the room was a lovely young woman with long brown hair and fashionable attire. It wasn't the clothes of a noble, but she clearly had good taste, even for her common house clothing. It looked as if she was partially ready to go out as well.

Vibit placed the briefcase down on the floor in front of him. "Here we go. It's all tested and ready."

"What great timing!" Rosie said with a smile. "It's almost time to go. I wasn't sure if I'd get to try it out today."

Reppi gave Vibit a bump with her shoulder. "My old pal here is never late, and he makes really good stuff." She winked.

This isn't good. Knowing Reppi, she'll find some way to make this a terrible situation. On the bright side, it isn't for her anyway. It'll all be on this pretty Rosie girl. She doesn't seem at all similar, so I might be in the clear, he thought.

"I'm going to try it on right now," Rosie announced, immediately scooping up the case with enthusiasm. She hustled off back to her room.

With just the two waiting, Reppi glanced over to him. "So, seems like a fancy invention from what I know about it."

"Of course," Vibit replied.

"You're going to make sure it works though before we finish the trade of course. Come with us to the ball. It's not an overly fancy one. Don't worry. Just a normal party. Since it's a lot of money, I'm not paying until I know it's good. Isn't that fair?"

"Well, I suppose, but why do I have to come?"

"You trust me to take it out for a spin alone? You might not ever seem me again."

"That's brutally honest..." he muttered.

"Plus, Rosie wants you to go~."

"She does?"

Reppi nodded. "So come on."
