Michelle rested a hand on Alexa’s back. “It’s okay, Lexi. Please, I just... I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have asked. I just thought.... I mean I don’t know what I was thinking. It’s okay not to answer. No matter what the answer actually is. Just know, that doesn’t matter to me. I promise.”
