Recreational slavery

Slavery is illegal in the world of EarthUnbound, just as in the real world. However, fetishes of all kinds are well accepted in mainstream society, not subjected to any sort of social stigma or shame. This extends to BDSM fetishes of all kinds, including those people who identify as slaves and ****-masters/mistresses.

As a result of the mainstream acceptance of this fetish, and thanks to some prominent media exposure through a few popular television and movie depictions, it has become widely understood by the general public that anyone wearing a leather or metal collar around their neck identifies as a submissive “****,” in service to a master or mistress. The general understanding of the public, following those popular depictions in mainstream media, is that such “slaves” are involved in a consensual power-exchange relationship—typically of a BDSM nature (although not necessarily), and which may be either semi-permanent and full-time, or may only take place during certain “play” times—which implies that their chosen master or mistress may command them to obey their every whim, and in particular may use them freely for sex at will.

This relationship is always a personal choice, however, and has no legal standing. Despite the pretense of being subject to the “master’s” whims, the “****” is actually free to do as they choose, and can choose to remove their collar at any time.
