Real World/Technology 3

Michelle sighed and dropped her head against the locker door. She never thought she would end up being a trope...or a meme...or whatever the hell kids called today. She sure as hell didn't think she would be trending, at least not for something stupid. (She really hated "trending".) She also thought this sort of crap would have stopped by now. Sure she was a college freshman for fuck sake! Sure she was a geek, but in real life. Why did her bully from high school and middle school and elementary school - pretty much all her life at this point - have to come to college with her? How the hell did an idiot like that even make it to college (or to middle school even) considering that she was only capable of thinking in terms roughly equivalent to the gold fish (she giggled to herself at that thought) Michelle kept in her living room fish tank at home?

Her thoughts were interrupted by a noise outside the lockers. Lockers. What a stupid...! Michelle listened carefully as she tried to figure out what the noise was. It was coming closer. As it grew closer, Michelle grew more worried. She really hoped her bully wasn't coming back to do more to her. A few seconds later the locker opened and she was looking into the face of the janitor. As they stared at each other, Michelle's face began to redden. Oh did I mention that she had been stripped naked before she was shoved in the locker? No. Good. Because she had already been naked when the bully and her crew had rolled up on her, stolen her clothes, and shoved her in the locker. She was changing out of her gym clothes, after all.

"Girl, what are you doing naked in there?"

"Nothing constructive. Unlike you." Michelle looked at the woman and just frowned. The old janitor woman pried her from the locker and shook her head.

"Kids today ain't got no respect," she mumbled as she walked away pushing her trashcan and cleaning supplies.

Michelle just hobbled away from the locker room. Her right leg was partially numb from being trapped in the locker for nearly three hours. Since it was now 6:30pm, she just went back to her dorm room. Not bothering to try to hide as, due to the hour and her resignation to her apparent place in life, she didn't really need to. She was lucky the bullies had left her keys and purse with her. She could have called for help except that she couldn't exactly move in the locker. Though at the moment, she was more interested in getting in bed and trying to forget her day. Hopefully her weekend would be better. She slowly made her way up to her floor then down the hall to her room. That's when she saw that the locker had been only one of her bully's actions against her. She just stood staring at her dorm room door. She couldn't believe what some people would do to make themselves feel bigger and better than other people.
