Chapter 8 by ScribeOfEros_16 ScribeOfEros_16

How does the meeting with the Justice Legion go?

Rather well, in fact

"I can't believe I'm really in the Justice Vault!" You exclaimed as the lift went down. Lady Owl chuckled, the sound mechanically distorted by her mask.

"Mhm... I wish I'd have had that feeling... I was an original member- back when we were just a dream." She murmured wistfully.

Suddenly, the bell dinged and the doors opened. You walked through openmouthed as you arrived in a huge atrium, two floors tall with a chandelier that looked of alien origin seemingly floating, illuminating the area in warm light. The room seemed surprisingly chill, with sprawling couches and plush carpets dominating the floor, while a variety of aesthetically pleasing paintings with indiscernible pictures dotted the walls.

"Fastball!" A familiar voice cried out, and you turned to see a familiar face- it appeared Liberteen had also made it past the trials, and was walking out from a similar lift with Sea Man behind her, the superhero unabashedly ogling the blonde heroine's clothed ass.

"Excellent- you two know each other?" A deep voice asked. You looked to your left and your heart caught in your throat as Uber-Man himself walked towards you, clad in a civilian suit and a glass of scotch in had. You frowned, wondering how he forgot before realizing the Legion would've watched thousands of fights across the week.

"Uh, yeah... we met in the foyer, and then fought in the second trial." You answered, figeting nervously as Uber-Man looked you up and down.

"Ah... I think I remember. You're the grand-daughter of Captain Liberty, right?" Uber-Man asked, directing his gaze at Liberteen. Apparently even more affected by the fact that an international symbol of peace was directly addressing her than Fastball, Liberteen went a deep shade of red and began to splutter incoherently.

"Yes, yes she is." Sea Man answered for her. Uber-Man smiled.

"I was so sad to hear about his ****. You have my condolences." He offered sympathetically. Liberteen nodded, now visibly gasping for air. Thankfully, her pelasant **** was about to end as the dark skinned hero turned to you.

"So... Fastball, huh. Was a bit of baseball player myself back in the day... ran center field." The man guffawed. Your eyes widened. Damn, this guy was pretty cool.

"Oi, Justice Legion! C'mere and meet the new recruits!" He called out, beckoning over to the crew of people mulling around the bar. They trotted over, with various ranging reactions.

"Well... y'all have done it. You're part of the greatest superhero team on the planet! So please, start us off by introducing yourself- real name, hero name, age and powers." Uber-Man said, spreading his arms out dramatically.

"Uh.. right." You began, realizing Liberteen was in no shape to start, instead she was ogling the superheroes stood in front of her, her blue eyes as wide as dinner plates.

"My name is John Doe, codename Fastball, from Minneapolis and my power is I can throw things... really well." You said, shuffling at realzing how lame you sounded.

"You throw things well? Who picked this kid." A gruff voice called. You flinched, seeing the source of the voice was none other than your favorite hero MidKnight, the only one still clad in his superhero suit.

"Oh, he's showing himself down... show 'em, Fastball." Another voice chimed in- it sounded like Lady Owl! You spun your head to see a woman with short blonde hair, an amused twinkle in her eye clad in a beautiful red cocktail dress smiling encouragingly at you. This must be Lady Owl... who had somehow removed her suit without you noticing between the time you guys exited the elevator and now. God, she was even more beautiful than you imagined.

"Uh... sure." You muttered, before looking around, finally seeing a handkerchief tucked into the breast pocket os Uber-Man's suave jacket.

"May I?" You asked, gesturing towards it. The supe looked in surprise before nodding. You smiled as you plucked it out. For a moment, the thought of just keeping it and selling for pssh... milllions even, crossed your mind but you shook it away.

Carefully, you folded it into a tight bean before winding up your arm, feeling that familiar build up of energy at your elbow, hearing Liberteen clap exictedly. Without warning you snapped your arm, air crackling as the napkin flew through the air at the speed of a bullet before slicing an apple set on the counter across the room clean in half.

A collective yell of appreciation went up, and you caught Lady Owl's eye to see her smirking proudly, causing your heart to beat double time.

"Not bad at all!" Uber-Man whistled, before gesturing to Liberteen. Liberteen blushed, before taking a deep breath.

"HimynameisHelenTroibutyoucancallmewhateveryouwantI'msoexitedtobehereohmygodohmygodIcan'tbelievethisishpanneing!" She blurted out. An uncomfortable silence followed as everyone tried to piece together what she said.

"Gosh... if only we had Cobalt Blur with us!" Uber-Man exclaimed, trying to lighten the mood, referring to the blue speedster, who used to be a part of the Legion.

"What happened to Coblat Blur?" You asked.

"He's dead." Lady Owl muttered. Whoops. Awkward.

"Uh, I think what Helen over here meant to say was..." Sea Man began, prompting Liberteen once again. Her name was Helen? Liberteen took her cue, speaking, albeit as red as a tomato and stuttering her tongue off

"Uh, m-my name is Liberteen- I mean my hero name is Liberteen! My real name is H-H-Helen Troi the Second-"

"Hold on... Troi? As in Henry Troi? Liberteen as in Captain Liberty?" A voice asked. You turned to look, to see a member of the Legion who wasn't present at the Trials- Queen Amazonia. Apparently she was an immortal greek warrior blessed by Athena. You'd crushed on her for the longest time, but how could you not? She had that regal, MILFY look, one of age and maturity but an eternal youth. At first glance, she could've been anywhere between 35-40. She was also in her super-suit, a bright golden sleeveless greek armor.

"Uh... yeah. Henry Troi II was my Dad." Liberteen answeed bashfully. A wistful look overcame Queen Amazonia's perfect features.

"Incredible... I fought with both your Grandfather, Henry Troi I and your Father, both of whom were incredible warriors... I have no doubt you will be the same!" She exclaimed. Poor Helen looked like she was about to faint.

"I-uh, th-thanks, Q-Queen Amazonia. And, uh, as f-for my p-powers, well... pretty much the same as Dad and Graddad. Enhanced strength, speed, reflexes, agility." She spluttered. The heroes looked on and clapped.

"Well, I suppose we should introduce ourselves." Lady Owl suddenly said, bringing the attention to her. You couldn't help but notice how sexy she looked in her cocktail dress, the fabric sliced to expose the barest hint of one of those tantazling legs you'd spent the Third Trial set in between.

"Well, as you know I'm Lady Owl, but my real name is Victoria Burke. Victoria, Vick, Vicky... anything goes, just not Ms. Burke or anything of that sort. As for my powers... well, it's really the suit I wear. It's an ancestral one, passed down generations of female Burkes- it gives me flight, speed, tons of cool guns and more. I guess my only real power tied to my identity is my insomnia" She joked, getting a light titter from the others present. You nodded, already knowing her powers.

Next was Queen Amazonia.

"Hellp younglings. My name is Diomede, though the world knows me as Queen Amazonia. I was a Greek warrior and the chosen champion of the war goddess Athena. I am immortal, probably one of this planet's better fighters and I wield this spear!" She exclaimed proudly, accentuating her final statement by flashing her hand out, causing a spear to seemingly fly out of thin air and right into her hands. Everyone immediately skidded a foot back as a result of the power from the summoning.

Next up was Red Star, someone who looked visibly annoyed at the arrival of you and Liberteen.

"Well, not much to say. My name is Nastja, but I will only be addressed as Red Star or Ms. Radchenko! I was shot into the heart of a dying star in the 1940s and re-emerged from a black hole in these cursed times with the approximate power of said dying star. If anyone here goes NEAR my tits without my permission you will feel the full **** of an intergalactic supernova!" She grumbled in her thick russian accent, the last line causing some laughs from the superheroes. Despite the warning, she was making it extremely hard to look, her form fitting red dress' plunging neckline teasing her assets to you.

"Well, as you know I'm Uber-Man, though my friends know me as Kent Clarkson. Hate to break it to ya, but I have no superpowers... I'm just mad rich and smart! The suit does a number of cool things though- I can fly, I can lift elephants with one hand, I can breathe in space... I've got these neat glasses that shoot beams of pure ice and a special mouthpiece that lets me breathe fire!" He exclaimed. You nodded, only slightly surprised. Uber-Man was the one member of the Legion who's identity wasn't the secret- he was very publicly the genius scientist Kent Clarkson, though you had always believed he had some superpowers.

"Well, I'm Sea Man, but most people call me Finn. Finn Cox. I've lived my whole life 'round the sea, and one day while diving came across this neat lil cave, where I found this golden net- quite literally from Atlantis! It made my bond with the sea tangible, and besides being able to grow and shrink to quite literally any size, I can manipulate currents of water." He said proudly.

Finally, everyone turned to MidKnight, undoubtedly the hero you'd been waiting to learn about the most. The mystical being sighed heavily.

"Am I really that interesting?" His robotic voice intoned wearily.

"OMG YES! DO YOU KNOW THE FAN THEORIES BEHIND WHO YOU ARE?" Liberteen asked excitedly, jumping up and down, causing her titties to bounce aggressively, something picked up on by almost everyone in the room.

"Actually no, but do entertain me." MidKnight answered, a bemused tone in his voice.

"Well the most prevalent one is you're a robot, but that doesn't explain you cool shadowy powers. My favorite theory is that you're the real shadow of Cobalt Blue, and one time when Cobat was running so fast his shadow couldn't keep up and BOOM! MidKnight was born!" Liberteen spluttered out excitedly. You nodded.

MidKnight let out a long suffering sigh.

"God how twisted the internet is. Well, the truth is I am an alien, from a star system far away. My planet was gonna explode, my parents were smart so they shot me on a rocket away and I landed up on this shithole, named myself Wayne Anthony because why the hell not and here we are." MidKnight grumbled. You frowned.

"So how do you... interact with shadows, the way you do?" You asked curiously. MidKnight turned his cold, beacon eyes to you, and you felt a shiver run down your spine and maybe a spot of moisture trickle down your thighs,

"I'm nothing like the aliens you humans imagined... I'm beyond that. The way I exist is... an entirely different state of matter entirely, most closely compared to a gas." He murmured. Your eyes widened.

"W-what? How?" You asked, curious.

"C'mon Middie." Victoria said, eagerly sipping her drink. MidKnight let out another sigh.

"Fine. But you only see me once." He growed. You stilled as you watched him trace his mechanical fingers through his hood before he flipped it down. You froze at what you saw. Instead of a head... it looked like he was a floating, circular ball of inky black gas, constantly shifting, barely able to keep one definite spherical shape. Where his eyes sbould be were two beams of blinding blue light in rectangles.

"What the fuck..." Liberteen whispered, staring at what she saw.

Almost immediately, MidKnight pulled his hood back up. Without another word he seemingly dematerialized into the table shadow, like he was melting, and then he was gone.

"Don't mind Wayne... he's quite resistant to chance. But when he warms up to you, he's like a teddy bear." Finn said reassuringly, wrapping an arm around Helen's and your shoulders.

"C'mon- d'you wanna meet the other two?" He asked. You and Helen frowned. More?

"Yeah, other two. They joined us a couple months back and aren't yet ready for full fledged Legion missions but like you guys are in training for that. C'mon, I'll take you to the dorms." He said, tugging them along.

How are the two other heroes?
