Rachel Sacrifices Bethan

As soon as the door opened Rachel shoved Bethan through it before slamming the door shut behind her. A piercing scream ripped through the flat followed by loud bangs on the door that slowly began to fade. Knowing she had bought herself some precious time Rachel gathered what little supplies she had into a small rucksack before flinging it over one shoulder.

Hesitantly she moved past the door as she heard low primal yowls coming from the other side. Rachel quickly moved out onto the balcony and securely locked the doors behind her before pocketing the key and beginning her descent. Part of her felt incredible guilt for sacrificing Bethan to her vampiric family but mostly she was satisfied to have made it out of the apartment alive.

Once her feet hit the ground Rachel began to move away from the building. After a few moments, she looked back up and saw three figures stood out on the balcony. Rachel knew it had to be Cassie, Rachel with the newly transformed Bethan. Feeling their predatory eyes on her, Rachel broke out into a run.
