Queen Cersei Lannister (the Army of the Dead is coming)

Much has happened in the last few years. War has torn apart the realm. All nine men who served as Lord Paramount in each of the nine major regions of Westeros are all dead now. A couple of those regions are currently without an official leader, and some have disputed rulers. Although the war has ended, Westeros is still in great disarray. Especially since Jon Snow has been declared by his family's vassals as the new King in the North, and Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons have landed on Dragonstone.

That is no concern of yours, though. You have no family and no one you can really call a close friend, and you have always had to struggle to get by. As such, the war had not affected you as greatly as it had affected most other people in the Seven Kingdoms. The world had been more dangerous, yes, but you were used to danger. In fact, your rough childhood and difficult upbringing had helped you to survive where so many richer, grander, and higher born persons had perished.

As you enter King's Landing, the first thing you notice is the stench. The city indeed reeks strongly of piss, shit, and many other foul odors, just as rumors have suggested. You hope it will either go away, or that you will quickly get used to it. Most likely, it would be the latter situation.

Your first priority is to find some work. There are plenty of shops all throughout Visenya's Hill and the Hill of Rhaenys. Any one of them might offer employment.

Or, alternatively, you can ride up to the Red Keep, located at the top of Aegon's High Hill. With all the threats to the realm, there is surely an increased demand for guards to protect the Queen.
