You're scared. You hadn't thought about the possibility of your wife and your best friend discussing their Friday night together and now you're kicking yourself because you really should have anticipated this possibility.

You also feel a little bit of anger that your best friend is getting to see your wife's new dress before you, but you also realize you can't be too mad, considering the prank you're playing on them. Still in the moments immediately after receiving the text your mood whips between fear and fury.

Taking a breath you try to calm down and think about this rationally. If they'd discovered your trick, Matt wouldn't be texting you about how great her dress is. He'd be upset and furious at you. But you still can't be sure. You decide to do a little digging to see what they've been up to.

You: hope ur being respectful

You feel a little on edge while you wait for the reply and you're unable to take advantage of the extra time you gave yourself to get your work done. Even though you know you'll feel your phone vibrate when the message comes through you still keep glancing at the screen every ten seconds.

His reply calms you a little further. If's he's not being too lewd or forward, he's probably not talking to her about sex. It's likely just vague comments about looking forward to spending time with her. But it's still a big risk to let them keep talking indiscriminately without knowing what they're talking about. Perhaps you should try to encourage Matt to only talk to your wife through you. Or would that be too suspicious, you wonder. With your phone resting idly in your hand, you take a moment to think about how you will handle this.
