Chapter 3 by tobykins tobykins

Who will you test the app on first?

Your roommate Jack.

As you look through the app for the first time, it is evening. As on any other evening, you are lying in bed while your roommate Jack studies at his desk. Jack is a normal-enough straight guy: handsome but not beautiful, smart but not intellectual, athletic but not a professional. He has an average-looking girlfriend who he stays over with a couple nights a week. As embarrassing as it is to admit, you've been thinking of Jack a lot lately. Naturally, the app reminds you of him.

On the app's main menu, you see an icon that looks like a camera. When you click on it, a camera screen pops up, set to the front-facing camera by default. A circle appears around your face, and underneath it is your name. The app recognized you in an instant.

In a hurry, you switch to the back camera and point it across the room at Jack. Even though his back is turned and his face is hidden in his books, the app recognizes him too. You take a picture.

As soon as you do this, Jack's profile appears. On it is a full-body picture of your roommate, dressed exactly as he is now. You heart skips a beat. This is real.

Also on Jack's profile are a variety of tabs: "General," "Aesthetic," "Society"... "Sexual"... and more. Obviously, "Sexual" is the one that sticks out the most, but that doesn't mean you have to start there.

What will you start by changing?
