Chapter 15
by philipcollin
What is it?
Yourself
You look around yourself, searching for something that would be a good receptor for a resident demon. You consider a number of options, including you clothing (though this would be useless in the harming a demon aspect) a metal table leg (though this is more useful for combat, it lacks a certain sophistication) and a pencil (you discount this idea as ridiculous the moment you consider it).
Suddenly an idea comes to you. Why not bind it to yourself? This would make you into a weapon against demons, and with the demons abilities you could protect your actual body much better.
With the decision made to bind the demon to your own body, you set about preparing yourself for the ritual.
You pull your shirt of over your head and grab a shattered shard of metal from the floor. With an effort of will you dull all feeling in your chest, and begin to carve the runes into your body.
Flowing symbols inside concentric circles start to take form on your chest, and blood runs freely from the wounds. You finally carve the last symbol into your chest and close the last circle.
With the preparation completed you drop the bloody shard of metal and attempt to fill your mind with your earlier lust.
As you start this your concentration slips and you are suddenly hit by the full pain of the gouges in your chest. All thoughts of lust are **** from your mind, and you grit your teeth in an attempt not to scream.
With a sheer **** of will you recast the numbing spell on your chest, and the pain flows away.
This pain will make it difficult to cast any spells and summon the demon, but not impossible, and you consider your options at this point. You could heal the wounds then summon the demon, or waste no time and summon the demon immediately, leaving the wounds until after the demon has been dealt with.
What do you decide?
