Lunch Time (D)

When you walk towards your table with Ash you saw an odd sight. Veronica herself is sitting at your table talking toward Dakota.

With her scooting up next to him invading his personal space. Looking uncomfortable and when he sees you he gives out a plea for help.

You plop your tray down on the table and you cough to get her attention. "Veronica, what are doing here?"

She ignores you and continues talking to Dakota. "So Dakota what new with you big boy." She says while clinging to Dakota's arm. You look at Ash for help but she simply shrugs and gulps down a whole hotdog.

Dakota speaks up. "Alex! Thank God you are here. Alex and I needed to talk about something." He says getting up. Pushing Veronica off on the side.

Getting the hint that he needs an excuse to get away from Veronica you roll with it. "Yeah, important gamer business!" You mentally facepalm yourself for saying that.

Veronica looks at you. "Oh, I didn't-" You interrupt her. "Notice you here. Come on Veronica is that the only thing you can come up with?" When you say that Veronica immediately stands up and sizes you up.

"Can't you see I'm trying to make new friends here?" She says smiling at Dakota. You can hear Ash in the background shouting. "That's cap!"

You laugh at Veronica. "Yeah making new friends start with clinging on their arm and calling them big boy." You say sarcastically.

She rolls her eyes, "Whatever go have fun with whatever gamer stuff you got to do." She then looks at Dakota, "Talk to you later big boy." She then blows a kiss towards Dakota.

You catch the imaginary kiss mid-air and figuratively toss it on the ground and smash it with your feet.

Veronica seeing this simply flicks you off and you return the favor with both your hand. When Veronica is gone you turn to Dakota.

"What the fuck was that all about?" You said confused at Veronica's behavior.

"I don't know? She just came out of nowhere while I was waiting for you!" Dakota says confused too. Ash then starts to laughs, you turn to her. "What so funny?" You say even more confused.

"This is like a tv show, just when you get together with your crush. Someone swoops in and steals them from ya." Ash says while holding her stomach while laughing. Dakota takes something out of his pocket, "She even gives me this..." It was a folded piece of paper with a lipstick stain on it.

You grab it out of his hand and open it revealing a written note.

"Hey, Dakota! Why hang out with such a loser when you can hang out with someone like me. Do your parents know that you are hanging out with such poor people. If you and I both dated we can both benefit each other families. Meet me after school at the gym, if you don't show up I tell my daddy to start messing with your family business~ XOXO - Veronica."

You crumble up the paper note and let out a tiring sigh. "What the fuck is wrong with Veronica. Seriously ****." You pinch your nose thinking about what to do. Ash speaks up, "Hear me out what if we sta-"

You stare at her with **** glares. "Don't you even finish that sentence?" Dakota looks at you biting his lips. "What should we do?"
