Portal bound

The next several days go by fast. You’re given lessons in using a sword, riding a horse, and some general lessons about the old world. You’re shown a map of the political situation, and Douglas explains that most of the old world is at war with the so called demon lord. As long as you stay in friendly territory you should be fine, apparently.

Basically, you’re told to stay to the east. The Allied Kingdoms, Itria, and Mermouthia were all good places. Itria being the mountain kingdom of dwarves, Douglas recommended you consider them a good option.

True to his word, by the end of the week, you’re as ready as you can be. Douglas assures you that their agent on the other side is used to new arrivals, and has been sent your information.

“He probably has everything ready for you. I’m sure you’ll do well!”

You grin. “I’m actually pretty excited! When can I go?”

“Get a good nights sleep. Tomorrow, we’ll take you through to the old world, and your adventure can begin!”
