Getting to know each other

Lara couldn't keep from staring at Dayane's firm round backsides swaying right and left in front of her without anything covering them. After a while, she broke out of her trance to ask "So, are we going to your tribe?"

The naked woman turned her head to deliver a disarming smile. "Oh, no. Not today at least. We are far too remote at the moment. Besides, I currently am on a [spiritual quest?] and cannot see my people until I have [transcended?]."

Despite being an archeologist rather an anthropologist and having no reason to study a people that was not extinct, the British girl's curiosity was piqued. "Really? Could you tell me more?"

Dayane shoved a few bushes away and stayed put to let Lara go past her without being bothered by the vegetation. "The [elders?] think I am destined to become Thavma, goddess of war. To this end I must isolate myself from civilisation, for Thavma is [meant? assumed?] to be more in tune with passions, wilderness and animality. We think she should bring balance to the wisdom and tactics inspired by fair Athena, and instead instill us with the fury and strength we need to crush our enemies. It is said that in forgotten times, this role was fulfilled by a [male god?] whose name has been banished from memories, for the Amazons must not worship men."

So, not only their language but their religion apparently descended from Ancient Greece. The god of war Dayane/Thavma was apparently meant to replace was undoubtedly Ares, then. "Do you worship any other goddess that used to be human?"

"Not yet, though I'm apparently not the only living theagyné at the moment. I have only heard rumors, but I would be glad to meet them."

Now less distracted by the sight of her saviour's perfect ass, Lara had a clearer head and thought back to what the Amazon previously said. "If you must cut all ties with civilisation, doesn't my mere presence by your side endanger your quest?"

"I wouldn't care if it was the case, as you would be in danger if I left you alone and I refuse to let that happen. But to answer your question, no, and for several reasons. The first one is that you're an [outsider?], and as such not considered as a part of civilisation."

It burned a little bit, especially coming from a beautiful creature roaming the wilderness stark naked. "And the other reason?"

The tall woman suddenly came closer to Lara and put both hands on her thin waist, whispering into her ear. "The other reason is that Thavma is also meant to be a goddess of passion..." She didn't elaborate and detached from her to take the lead again.

The archeologist suddenly felt like a volcano had erupted from the top of her skull.
