Tell guard about your job.
“I've been hired to work here,” you tell the guard. “My name is Sophie Carruthers.”
The guard gives you a good looking over - more of an ogle than a professional assessment. “Do you have ID?”, he replies, holding out his hand.
You take the citizenship card from the pink plastic purse.
The guard first has you hold the ID card facing him, so that he can see the green glow that indicates the card is, in fact, yours. Then he takes it from you and scans it in.
He grunts. “Sophie Anne Carruthers. New hire, Personal Assistant to Mr. Smith. Okay, Miss Carruthers. Now, I'm going to hold on to this card until the end of the day, and return it to you when you leave. Here's your Employee ID; keep it with you at all times. You can report to Mr. Smith right off; he's expecting you. Go down the hall, take a left at the end of the corridor. He's in the corner office. Your desk is just outside his. Glad to have you on board.”
