To Danielle and John's Apartment

Danielle held the little, naked woman tightly against her chest as she entered the lobby of her apartment building, summoning the elevator before stepping inside. While all this was happening, Kate blushed a neon red as she tried to figure out why this woman was either ignoring her or not hearing her statements that she wasn't an infant!

"Hold the elevator!" A voice called out as an older woman, in her late 50's, entered the elevator and pressed a button. As Danielle pressed the close button and the elevator started to ascend, the older woman turned to the two other occupants of the machine. "Oh, good evening, Danielle. Wasn't expecting you and your husband to be back so soon."

"We were going to spend the evening out, yes." Danielle responded, "But something came up." Gesturing to Kate, she added, "We found this little cutie on the streets, no doubt abandoned by her monster of a mother. Say hi to Mrs. Adkins, Sweetie."

"Lady, you got to help me!" Kate pleaded desperately, "This lunatic and her husband think that I'm an abandoned baby! My name is Kate, and I'm in my early twenties. I'm just really short for my age! What I need you to call the police and -"

"Aww, well aren't you just a talkative little cherub?" Mrs. Adkins asked in a babying voice, the old woman reaching out and pinching Kate's red cheek. "And you're so adorable. Yes you are. Yes you are!"

"Oh, come on!" Kate yelled in aggravation, pulling away from Mrs. Adkins. This old bat thought she was a baby, too?!

At that moment, the elevator dinged as the doors opened, both women stepping out on to the fourth floor.

"I'm afraid that I must be going home now." Mrs. Adkins said as she playfully patted Kate's head. "Just let me know if you and Johnny need any help with babysitting, and I'll be over in two shakes of a lamb's tail! I've been quite lonely ever sense my daughter moved out."

"We'll keep that in mind, Mrs. Adkins." Danielle said with a smile, completely missing the mortified look on Kate's face. "Have a good night."

With that said, both women headed to their apartments. Kate could only let out a whimper as Danielle brought her into her apartment, the other woman closing the door behind her before looking down at the little woman in her arms.

"Now then," Danielle said with a smile, "let's get you cleaned up."
