The Little Mermaid

A long time ago ships used to sail the seas to make a living. They would be gone most of the year to catch fish and whales to then sell them on land for a profit. These men became bored and lonely so they would make up stories about sea monsters and creatures that existed. One of these creatures were called mermaids. These creatures were beautiful young women who were half human and have fish. They believed that if you caught a mermaid and brought her up out of the ocean she would become a human maiden, one that would be bound to your ship.

This is a story about one of the ships who caught one of these maidens.
