Use intercom
The gate seems to be locked so you press the intercom button, holding it for a few seconds, then you let go and wait.
A minute later the speaker crackles. “Hello, Janet! How are you, miss?” a man's voice says in a cheery British accent.
A little taken aback, you answer, “Fine, I guess.”
“Wonderful! Just grand! We're so looking forward to a new student joining our school body. Please come in, come in,” The speaker crackles out.
The iron gates swing open, clearing the way north. The iron grille gates are heavy - it doesn't look like you could budge them. It’s open.
