The bus driver does not respond.
Off in the distance to the west you can see a wooded hill.
The bus slows, then stops. You see that there's a little dirt path here leading up to the hill.
The driver opens the door, then says “This here's the School, Miss. Have a nice day.”
You step off the bus into the warm sun - a virtual sun, maybe, but it makes the sweat collect between your breasts nonetheless - and the bus pulls back onto the road and disappears to the south.
A dirt path
A narrow dirt road - really just two wheel ruts in the tall grass - leads west away from the two lane highway.
