Hera Clarke, who lives in a world of superheroes

I had to blink a few times and rub my eyes just to be sure that what was happening was real. But, none of the Legendary 12 are able to just randomly appear like this. Okay, well, maybe Split Vision, but this clearly didn’t look like her. Cautiously, I reached my hand out and pushed against her, feeling the resistance of a person being there.

“Um, is this a kind of customary greeting here?” the white-haired woman asked, tilting her head. She reached her hand back and placed it right on my boob, giving it a nice squeeze. Yep, she was definitely real.

“Excuse you!” I said, slapping away her hand. “What the hell is going on here? And what are you doing in my apartment?”

The woman blinked at me and looked down at her notecards. “Did… did you seriously not pay attention, like at all to the notecards? I’ll have you know that I worked hard on those things.” She crossed her arms under her chest and huffed, the chains on her body jingling.

“No, I did. I just, um,” I said, looking around, trying not to stare too much at her pushed-up cleavage. “Just trying to figure out just what the hell’s going on. Is this some kind of trick? Are you a supervillain here to kidnap me?”

“Supervillain? The hell are you talking about?” the woman asked, tilting her head again. “Man, what the hell kind of a world did I wake up in now?” She huffed, putting her hands on her hips and then turned to me. “Well, first of all, you still never told me your name. So, who are you?”

I took a bit of a step back, trying to ponder about whether or not I should be honest with this woman.

She did appear out of nowhere, and she’s definitely none of the superheroes that I know of. I don’t quite know why, but I get a sense that she’s not malicious. Maybe she’s someone who just got their powers and she’s trying them out? No, the way that she mentioned about the notecards and stuff meant that she’s definitely prepared.

It was at this point that I noticed just how lost in thought I was, as the woman was no longer standing in front of me. Instead, she was behind me, pressing her chest into my back and putting her hands on my hips. A little shiver went up my spine, but not out of fear.

“So, are you just gonna stand there, or are you gonna answer me?”

“Ah, right, I’m Hera Clarke,” I said, trying not to focus on how good her hands were feeling. I grabbed her by the wrists and took her hands off me.

“Ooo, grabby, are we?” She gave me a sly smile, which I responded to by groaning and rolling my eyes.

“So, who did you say you were again?” I asked, turning around to face her.

“Well, my name’s Regina, but I can be whatever you want,” she said, taking a step towards me and very clearly pushing her tits together for my gaze.

My gaze? Ah! What the hell, Hera? Get yourself together! Don’t stare at her boobs, that’s rude! Also, why are you staring at them! AUGH! Focus!

“So, Regina, um, explain to me what you were saying earlier.”

Regina sighed and picked up the notecards, then grabbed my left hand and pointed to the ring. “This is the Reality Ring. It lets you alter the reality of any woman you want, but don’t get all crazy at once. Try to do too much and it’ll blow up in your face, sometimes literally. Take it with small changes. I don’t need another Ringmaster dying on me.”

“Dying!?” I said, pulling my hand back.

“Well, yeah. Notice how you can’t get the Ring off?” she said. I tugged on the ring, but it didn’t budge at all. “Now, you found the ring on the ground on the street, right? Just how do you think that it wasn’t on someone’s finger?” She was absolutely WAY too calm for saying stuff like that. She had to have been telling the truth, I guess.

“So, um, small changes, right?” I said as I looked towards her. I closed my eyes and raised my hand towards her. “Like this?” I felt the ring start to warm up, but not a burning sensation. More like someone wrapped it a bit in a blanket. Then, I opened my eyes. Regina was still there, but instead of her long flowing white hair, it was now sky blue hair! “Oh my gosh, I did it!” I gave myself a little cheer as Regina looked at the change.

“Ah, hair color. Nice and harmless,” she said with a little chuckle. “Though, I should let you know, I really don’t count as training.”

“Huh?” I asked, pulling me out of my celebration.

“Yeah, you can kind of think of me like part of the magic system, or digging a hole at the beach.” She made a little scooping motion with her hands. “You can dig as deep of a hole, or make as many changes to me as you want, but you haven’t changed the amount of sand anywhere else.”

“So, if I want to be able to do bigger things with this, uh, Reality Ring, then I have to-”

“Find other women to use this on? Yep.” Regina said with a nod as she tapped on the ring. “So, since there aren’t any other ladies here…
