Enter the Twilight Grove.

The cave twists and turns, but then it begins to ascend. You see a light ahead as well. You, Lynx, Amara, and her mom all swim upwards to where the water thins. To your surprise, you reach the surface, and emerge into a cavern filled with air. You step out of the water, dripping wet, and glance around in awe at the sight around you.

The cave is so gigantic that you can't see the ceiling. High above, it looks like stars--tiny lights sparkling in the darkness. Trees with white branches illuminate the area with a pale radiant glow. Strange blue bushes and plants light up as well. You spot a few strange insects buzzing by, and even rodents scurrying through the underbrush. It's a whole forest underground, under the sea, like an ecosystem all to itself. However, you can see that a lot of the foliage is shrivelled and falling apart. The trunks are covered in strange dark scarring. You reach out and touch a huge leaf from a nearby bush, and it falls apart in your hand. This place might be gorgeous, but it's barely holding on.

In the middle of it all sits a crude wooden cottage.

You look to Amara. Her body is drenched, and now that she's back on the surface, her white dress clings to her body. In various spots, you can see the pink of her skin through the fabric. She has both white panties and a bra--outlines now clearly visible. She reaches down and squeezes the bottom of her dress in a futile attempt to dry off.

Yaera slides her hands back through the hair sticking to her face. Water trickles along the bare strip of skin down the left and right of her body--side of her breasts barely covered by the white dress clinging to her skin. You can clearly make out both nipples poking against the soaking wet fabric, with no bra beneath. Her clothes are thin and white, just like Amara. She almost looks naked if you squint.

Meanwhile, Lynx is struggling too. Her cloak is far too heavy while water-logged, so she pulls it off and throws it aside. Once again, she's garbed in a an open coat reaching down to her wrists--black, trimmed red, and beneath that is a black crop top tied with a red ribbon in the middle. She wears shorts small enough to be a bathing suit, and thigh-high stockings fade from black to dark crimson as they each from her thighs down to her boots. Her belt is thick, and holds a variety of pouches, daggers, and shurikens. She has her fingerless gloves as well, each with a pattern of four stars. You know that beneath her right glove is a mark from the Rite of the Sun, and a second resides behind her eyepatch.

"I hate being wet..." she mutters.

You creep forwards and look around carefully. "I don't see anything witchy. Do you?"

"I hear something," Amara says.

The group stops. Suddenly, emerging from the bushes ahead is a skeleton creature. It has part of a beard still on its jaw, and in its hand is a rusted sabre. As soon as it notices you, it begins running at full speed. The bones rattle as it swings, but you easily deflect it with your sword. Quickly, you counter attack, and slice its head clean off its body.

Two more skeletons emerge behind it, and to make matters worse, the lack of a head doesn't seem to stop it. Now there are three.

"Kyle, dodge!" Amara shouts.

You turn to see a blinding light behind you. Immediately, you leap to the side, and then you hear, "Celestial Blast!" All three creatures are hit by a huge wave of holy energy, causing them all to fall to pieces on the ground. Amara gasps, and puts a hand in front of her groin as a sensation washes over her. She whimpers, and looks to your sword in embarrassment--it lighting up even more.

"Are you all right?" Lynx asks.

"Y-Yes," Amara stutters. "I am fine."

"Do not push yourself," says her mother. "Your power is too much for your body."

Surely she knows about her mutation thing. It must be weird, dealing with that in front of your mom.

Lynx suddenly spins around and drives a dagger right into the skull of another skeleton. "There's more!" she calls out. "Uh. A lot more."
